Urban oasis

Lush with manicured tropical gardens, this shady waterfront park is located alongside the Renaissance Hotel property in downtown Oranjestad. At its center is a stone footpath and raised marble platform crowned with a white statue of the late Dutch Queen Wilhelmina, who ruled the island for the first half of the 20th century. Spanning four acres, the urban oasis is popular for hosting a variety of events, and has a steady stream of iguanas romping along its leafy shoreline.
